The Pin Removal Tool has been designed to remove pins. The pins are designed for intervention with this tool and are used to secure equipment for transport. Typically used to attach bundles to their respective towing sled and subsequently the tool can be employed to detach said bundles when they are in position.
There are three tools associated with the removal of the pins: one for pins of 370 mm length, one for pins of 500 mm length and one for pins of 570 mm length. These are called the 370 PRT, 500 PRT and 570 PRT respectively.
The Tool can be Diver or Manipulator deployed and can be used in conjunction with a Tooling Intensifier Panel to provide a greater pulling force.
